What is OVBS?
The Orthodox Vacation Bible School (OVBS) has been a longstanding educational outreach program of the Indian Orthodox Church. It provides our growing generation with an opportunity to learn more about the basic tenets of the Orthodox faith through participation in a fun and interactive program that takes places over a series of days.
OVBS focuses on deepening the knowledge and experience of our children in the Church by engaging them in the following areas: classroom lessons, arts and crafts, songs/hymns, team building games and activities, and more.
The St. Gregorios Orthodox Church of Kansas City is excited to host our first annual OVBS right at the outset of the new academic year. We use the curriculum provided to us by the Diocese of South-West America for use in all parishes of our diocese.
Who can attend?
We invite all children enrolled in Pre-K through 12th grade to join us.
